Kara Linnet Bentzinger

Kara grew up in Goodland and attended Goodland High
School. She loved her family, friends, and animals; but
most of all she loved anything to do with her horses. She
trained horses and gave riding lessons to many youth in
the community. In 1992 she died in a one-vehicle roll
over accident south of Ruleton, Kansas. To continue
Kara's tradition of involvement with the youth of the
tri-state area, the Memorial Foundation has been active
in hosting a Gymkhana rodeo each year. In her memory,
the Foundation has also given an annual scholarship to a
local high school senior majoring in science.
